At CNAG, we continue to drive our commitment to excellence. As an internationally recognized center for genomic sequencing and analysis, we collaborate with numerous partners from healthcare institutions and research institutes. For this reason and our responsibility towards all of our collaborators we also engage quality in the field of information security  management. This objective now is underlinded with the ISO 27001:2022 certification, endorsed by SGC. The new milestone demonstrates our dedication to the highest standards in information security management and further consolidates our leadership in the field of genomics research.

ISO 27001:2022 is an internationally recognized standard that sets out the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS). This system is used to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. By holding this certification, at CNAG we take another step forward to endorse our ability to systematically manage sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Our IT team and the Quality department at CNAG have led the process to obtain ISO 27001:2022 certification, coordinating with all departments in the organization such as the Sequencing Unit, the Bioinformatics Unit, the research groups, and teams, along with all the corporate areas. Throughout the certification process, we validated our information security practices, including risk assessment, control implementation, and ongoing monitoring and improvement.
