The scientific structure at the CNAG includes the directorate of the centre, the project management, the information technology and the quality areas.
The project management area liaises with potential collaborators from research institutions, hospitals or the private sector, giving assistance in project design, planning and cost calculation. It actively contributes to the dissemination of CNAG activities in national and international meetings and events. It also supports CNAG researchers on several issues regarding grant proposal preparation, reporting, budgeting and follow up of competitive funds.
The information technology area optimizes computer systems and technology resources to achieve our organisation goals. This area designs the strategy to accelerate the digital transformation and assess the current procedures to increment the effiency and sustainability.
The quality area ensures compliance with our organisation's commitment to people and the advancement of medicine, one of the main drivers of our sustainability strategy. For this reason, the centre offers the highest quality standards accredited by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Thus, CNAG has UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system and UNE-EN ISO/IEC ISO 17025:2017 accreditation, which guarantees its competence in testing. In addition, the institution also has BBMRI-ERIC (European Research Infrastructure for Biobanking and Biomolecules) recognition, as an expert centre in the analysis of biological samples that generates primary data under internationally standardised conditions.
