The Festa de la Ciència i la Tecnologia is organized by the Ajuntament de Barcelona. The party turns the Parc de la Ciutadella in a large open lab with about a hundred activities of all kinds and for all audiences, from experiments to games, shows, lectures and workshops. All these free activities are held in 16 different venues scattered around the site and the researchers of the participating entities (more than 100 institutions, research centers, universities and companies) are in charge of bringing their work to the public. One of the objectives is to encourage new vocations and talents.

This year, Marc A. Marti-Renom and Davide Bau from the Structural Genomics Team presented the experiment "Genomes en 3D" in the Neuroscience area.
