CNAG has submitted our application for the HR Excellence in Research award, a recognition granted by the European Commission. As part of this process, and following our endorsement of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers on 20 December 2024, we presented our Action Plan on 13 January 2025. This plan includes a set of measures that are now in full implementation, reinforcing our commitment to fostering an open, inclusive, and supportive environment for researchers at all career stages.

The HR Excellence in Research award is part of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), an initiative created by the European Commission as part of the European Research Area (ERA), launched in 2000. The European Charter for Researchers and the European Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers are two key documents developed under ERA that aim to improve working conditions, promote career development, and ensure open, transparent, and merit-based recruitment processes, supporting mobility and talent recruitment across Europe.

By adopting these principles and implementing the required measures, CNAG is working to ensure that our human resources policies align with the highest European standards. Obtaining the HR Excellence in Research award would be an important milestone, certifying our commitment to creating an environment that fosters good working conditions, career development, and the mobility and recruitment of talent within Europe.
