The CNAG has been selected as one of the 50 most inspiring companies in Barcelona to participate in the Open Day of NewCo Barcelona on 28th October 2015.

Barcelona hosts a for the 1st time in Spain but its history started three years ago, in 2012, in San Francisco (USA), and since then more than 1.100 innovative companies like Google, Twitter, Uber and Spotify among others, have already participated in 15 cities like New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam & London.

The aim of these events is to share visions and innovation strategies with success, to contribute strengthening the ties between consolidated companies, startups and other agents in all sectors of the ecosystem of innovation, and to connect and show their implication with the local community.

The participation of the CNAG will consist of a presentation about how nucleic acid sequencing works and some of its main applications (current and potential) while we are opening our offices and labs to the public, showing all the cutting-edge technology of the CNAG, including Genome Sequencers and the Data Center. This session will be presented by Sergi Beltran, Head of the Bioinformatics Analysis Group.
